I designed and built the brand identity for a global facebook initiative that aims to bring fast, broadband internet to developing parts of the world. I was given an existing logo asset and tasked with designing a system that would speak to both the small local vendors as well as telecom executives with whom we sought to partner.

I was approached to create a wine label and logo for an up-and-coming Israeli winemaker wanting to make a splash in the Tel Aviv wine scene. I discovered that while demand for local wines is growing considerably, most buyers are relatively young: between the age of 28-35. To appeal to this youthful, cultured audience I enlisted the help of a Tel Aviv watercolor artist to create original art for the labels. The result is that of an abstract fine art series when the bottles are displayed on the shelf. Since the winery is new, the name and logo take second place to the painting, knowing that aesthetic value will draw more first time buyers than a lesser-known brand name in the wine aisle.

I created a multi-tiered digital campaign for Facebook gaming 2018. We featured the most-watched gamers of the year and showcased the new suite of Facebook gaming brand assets.
Deliverables included static banner ads and web page takeovers.
I designed several infographics for Facebook’s product marketing team in 2018.
For Facebook Watch I designed a set recapping the year in viewing. This was shared on Facebook’s PR blog and directly with partners.
For Facebook’s Community Standards team I designed a series that describes and delineates what Facebook categorizes as healthy or unhealthy (hate) speech. These infographics were shared on the PR blog and used in internal presentations.

When I had the opportunity to concept and design a series of holiday banana stickers for Chiquita, I knew I wanted to create something internationally relatable and non-denominational. I landed on series of birds bearing olive branches of peace, and cheerful holiday homes from around the world.

Carpe Diem Education is a gap year organization that takes post-high school students on trips that focus on cultural immersion, service learning, and adventure. They came to us for a brand identity and through research and interviews we discovered two primary pain points in onboarding new students to their programs. One was was their ability to physically stand out and attract potential clients in a sea of competitors at gymnasium gap year fairs. The other was staying at the top of clients' minds in the vital weeks leading up to graduation, the time when students decide what to after after graduation.
To solve the first point, we did away with the scripty wordmarks so popular in this sector and gave them a bold, abstract icon that can be recreated in many mediums. The vibrant orange, inspired by dyes and textiles found in many of their destination countries, draws attention in a crowded gymnasium. The brand's new photography - rather than focus on pretty scenery - features students living an adventure of a lifetime, allowing potential clients to visualize themselves in these locales.
As for staying top of mind during the busy weeks after graduation, we designed printed takeaways that were not only informational, but that served a second, longer-lasting purpose. The program brochure folds out into a locker-sized illustrated poster, giving students a piece of art to keep in a visible place rather than forget about soon after the fair. The coasters are made with biodegradable seed paper that encourage students to plant and grow rather than throw away.

Mariam Foods is a Portland food startup making flavorful, Ethiopian-style lentil dips to rival any old hummus at the market today. The design problem: To create a brand for a totally new food product that stays true to the founder's Ethiopian roots while enticing shoppers to toss it into their cart for the first time.
To solve this, we first conducted an audit of similar products in the refrigerator aisle and discovered there was space for a brand that told a deeper, cultural story about the flavors inside the package. We also found that space on the shelf was quite literally limited. Therefore, every inch of the package needed to be utilized to promote the brand.
I drew from folk iconography and natural elements of the region to create a visual system that told a story of Ethiopia, homeland of the Mariam Foods founder. I leveraged hand-drawn illustration to evoke the hand-craft so important to the history and economy of the region.
The playfulness of the drawings are also a nod to families and shoppers with children who, in market tests, saw the line of dips as a set to be collected. And the high contrast, large, unique shapes were some of the most recognizable on the shelf from a distance.

I collaborated with art director Kate Digilio to create the You Can, in Portland out-of-home campaign for Travel Portland. The campaign video was produced by local animation studio, HouseSpecial. We used the hand-made miniature props from the film across the campaign materials and produced an extensive amount of out-of-home boards that went up in target markets across the country.
A 20th anniversary for this local bank called for a brand redesign. Their new identity needed to reflect the streamlined accessibility their customers want and to feature the successful local businesses they helped get started.

Celebrity guests included Rebel Wilson, Jane Lynch, Keegan-Michael Key, and Bobby Lee. I worked with art and creative directors to produce presentation decks, photo comps, digital ads, social posts, gifs, wedding invitations, TV endcards, an illustrated Facebook canvas ad, and more.
